The Budget Crisis in Perspective

It was just a big game of smoke and mirrors.  However this would have went it would have been effectively meaningless in terms of the budget, deficit, and debt.

Mostly Cajun gives us the rundown (with pie graphs!  Don't you love pie graphs!)

We’re spending twice as much as we take in.  Now, if you and I woke up one morning and saw a major cut in pay and our household budget started looking like that, after the initial panic (assuming we didn’t see it coming) we’d start cutting out things and selling off things and slimming  and streamlining to survive.
