Cracker Barrel

One of the better parts of traveling by car in the South is the Cracker Barrel County Store and Restaurant. They are as common as McDonald's in states like Alabama and offer food that is typically Southern and of a much better quality than any fast-food.

I'm currently sitting in the Cracker Barrel in Greenville, AL. It's bustling with activity, an ant hill pouring forth with fluffy biscuits and hearty entrees, like Country Fried Steak and Chicken and Dumplings.

I'm sure when I finish my meal I'll take a few minutes before hitting the road again to browse the country store, maybe even pick up some candy.
