Wow, you're reading Twilight?! I told myself I was going to watch the movie before I read the book. That way, I won't be disappointed with the movie, and I WILL be pleasantly surprised by the book!

I'm really enjoying the book. I always read the book first, if I can. I've been disappointed, but not too badly in most cases. I love the movie "Shooter" even though the book it was based on, "Point of Impact," was a lot better. The movie was still really good and I enjoyed it. So far my biggest print to screen disappoint has been "Legend of the Seeker" which is a tv show based on "The Sword of Truth" series of books. It is a fucking diaster.

Really? In most cases I hate movies that have been borne of books (that I've read). I guess I'm a sucker for introspection.

Anyway, I read Twilight! And you're right, it's very good. I can't wait to get my paws on New Moon now. :) I still like the Harry Potter books as my favorite young adult series, but this has shoved its way into second place.

Have you given up reading the Bible, btw? I was just curious, because I haven't seen anything from it in your picks entries since Leviticus.

I'm still reading the Bible...or maybe I should say I still intend too. Leviticus is a bitch because its all law: what you can eat, what you can't, what happens if you do; and the laws involve just about every aspect of life. My conclusions so far is that Judaism was a sham job that delivered the Hebrews from slavery in the service of the pharoahs to slavery in service of the priesthood.

If I ever finish it (and I think I will) I'll hit the Koran next and maybe the Book of Mormon after that. My main interest is how the hell people swallow this stuff and so far my only conclusion is that they do it because they want too.

Not to always be knocking on Christianity, but I think on top of that it's also the very thorough brainwashing that goes along with it.

When someone believes in something so much, it's easy to pass it off as truth, and therefore easier for the next person who hears it to believe it too. That's why you and I are such persuasive writers, by the by. lol
