Just heard from a friend that at a fun show in NC an LEO managed to shoot himself and a bystander while fiddling with an attendees handgun.

Those injured are not identified in the story. May not be the cop who was shot in the hand.

Also, "it went off?" Barring a very unlikey mechanical failure what happened was some mouth breather depressed the trigger.

The last article I read said that it was a shotgun that discharged when the case was unzipped so it could be shown to a LEO.

Funny how these stories evolve.  I got my original info second hand from someone who was there. Then the linked info, and finally the latest from Foxnews.com.

Deputy duscharged the shotgun while attempting to unload it. Injured two.
