Hating the government in 3 easy steps.

1.  Make over $30,000 for the year.

2.  Pay nearly $6,000 in taxes.

3.  Complete your tax return only to realize you still owe both Federal and State tax.

Yet Congress can raise the debt ceiling by another trillion dollars like it's nothing.  I guess it is nothing.  It's not like it's their money.  If you're not angry, you're not paying attention.

I'm lucky that what I owe isn't much, but this is a first for me. I was happy when I saw my W2 and that I'd had a good year. Now...not so much. If I knew the money was going somewhere useful rather than into the gullet of entitlement spending it might not bother me as much.

The time for everyone to "go Galt" is getting close...

On the plus side, you didn't give Uncle Sam an interest free loan to finance that entitlement spending.

Brandon, have you seen the national debt figures? They don't care. If they can borrow so much I want all my fucking taxes back. They don't need my measly six grand. It's an H2O molecule in the bucket compared to the debt.
