Congratulations GM!

On producing another piece of shit at taxpayer expense and trying to convince us it's gold!

"When you are looking at purely dollars and cents, it doesn't really make a lot of sense. The Volt isn't particularly efficient as an electric vehicle and it's not particularly good as a gas vehicle either in terms of fuel economy," said David Champion, the senior director of Consumer Reports auto testing center at a meeting with reporters here. "This is going to be a tough sell to the average consumer."
GM sucks.  I'm sorry if you like Chevy, but GM sucks as a company.  There should be no Volt, or Camaro, or Corvette anymore.  They should have all died with that bloated carcass that is General Motors but instead we have a shitty company producing shitty cars and we're all paying for it because assholes in the government didn't want to face the consequences of pissing off the unions that put them into office, not to mention the hits their stock portfolios would have taken when GM died a much deserved death.

Took the words right out of my mouth there... No company is "too big to fail", and now that we have rewarded this particular craptacular company for producing craptacular products that too few people wanted to buy, and then running a craptacular business plan, we, the American taxpayers, will be paying for craptacularness for the foreseeable future.

You get what you encourage, and damned if we are not...

Got to agree with you on this one. It is astonishing how GM always gets things so spectacularly wrong.

What's really depressing is that GM has been putting out an inferior, completely shitty product for DECADES and yet we still keep giving them taxpayer money.

Not only do their cars suck, but their business model is terrible. Too many subdivisions with nearly identical cars competing for the same market share.
