Tragedy, indeed.

The Bayou Renaissance Man has a post up about a father who executed his 15 year old son after the son admitted to sexually molesting his 3 year old sister.

Peter says that this is a tragedy. It is. He also says, "I can understand the father's anger, but even so, that's adding evil to evil." I have to disagree with that, and you can see what I said in the comments there.

In a nutshell I don't thing the legal system can contribute anything to this situation. It certainly won't be bringing about any justice. The father did that by killing an evil person, his own son or not. The only justice I could see coming from the legal process at this point would be jury nullification in the father's criminal trial.
