Random Confession

Many people have an escape.  It's something they use to get away from the pain they have to face in reality.  For some people it's drugs, for others it's alcohol or gambling.  Mine is a little different, and not typical.  But it is just as dangerous.  It has in the past eaten up my life just as effectively as drugs.  The only good thing about it is that it has no dangerous physical side effects.  But I've spent thousands of dollars on it and used it to isolate myself from other human beings.

My escape?  It's reading.

reading that much , you'll eventually be a brainiac!

glad to hear your "way to get away" is not a harmful or destructive one!

I can sympathize with you on so many levels here.

I also read not just as enjoyment, but as an escape as well.  I don't spend gobs of money on it, though, I generally read all my favories (::coughjudedeverauxcaugh::) over and over again.

She has a new book out and J's contest was just in time!  It's on its way!!!!!  I am completely thrilled.  Yanno what's even better than a new book?  Another new book!  She's coming out with a second one in January!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I am overly thrilled!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, really?  Which one?  I can recommend most of them.  Wishes is a good one for men.

But not AKISA.

uh, out of all the vices out there...your would be the best choice.  although hard to call it a it's completely productive.  whereas drugs, smoking, alcohol, are basically pissing away money and totally unproductive.

i always liked movies myself. lately though, i'm too damn busy to even watch any..and when i find the time i can't sit still....crazy change in my life.  i used to sit all weekend and watch films back to back and never ever get i can't sit still for even an hour without a major urge to move on and do something else??  weird how things can change on you whether you want them to or not?

I think we all just get burned out on things at some point.  I did with reading for about a year.  I read a lot, but not three or four novels a week like I did in high school.  I think I am getting back into that groove though.  All I can say is, take a break, find a new thing to do for a while.
